Performance

Performance

Whether you're driving in West Hollywood or you're traveling off-road on vacation with your family and friends, the new Subaru Outback lineup lets you enjoy the best possible traction, control, and handling wherever you go with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive in every model. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive delivers legendary capability on an off the road by always sending power to all four-wheels and automatically diverting it to the wheels with the most traction if any should slip. The Toyota RAV4 lineup has standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available on all RAV4 models, but it will cost more.

Performance

Two engine options are available across the new Subaru Outback lineup. The first is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque. The other half of the Outback lineup uses a stronger and sportier 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 260-horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque. The Toyota RAV4 lineup only offers one engine option, a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203-horsepower.

Do you need a vehicle that can tow a trailer around Burbank? The new Subaru Outback lineup offers more standard towing capacity than the Toyota RAV4. The Outback has 2,700 pounds of standard towing capacity, with up to 3,500 pounds of maximum towing capacity when properly equipped. The Toyota RAV4 lineup offers 1,500 pounds of standard towing, and only the highest trim level offers up to 3,500 pounds of maximum towing capacity.
